January 23 - This Week's Highlights:

Starting Friday (January 23), Pollack Cinemas will show Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride (1987).
On Saturday (January 24), Harkins will show E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) as part of its Steven Spielberg Spotlight series. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) will be shown again on January 25-26 and Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) will be shown again on January 25 and 28.
On Sunday (January 25), Majestic (Tempe) will show David Lynch's Blue Velvet (1986) as part of its Soundtrack Cinema series. Only a few tickets remain.
On Sunday (January 25), the Mesa Arts Center will show Ridley Scott's Blade Runner (1982) with the score performed live. Only a few tickets remain.
On Sunday (January 25), the Western Spirit Museum kicks off their Scottsdale Western Week series with Buster Keaton's Go West (1925) with live piano accompaniment.
On Sunday (January 25), GKIDS' Hong Kong Cinema Classics series kicks off with John Woo's Hard Boiled (1992). It will be shown at AMC, Cinemark, Harkins, Majestic, and Regal. It will be in Cantonese with English subtitles.
On Tuesday (January 27), Harkins will show Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958) as part of its Tuesday Night Classics series.
On Wednesday (January 28), Cinesylum will show Abel Ferrara's Body Snatchers (1993) at RoadHouse Cinemas.
On Thursday (January 29), Terror Trader will show John Carpenter's They Live (1988) at Pollack Cinemas.

Tickets are not on sale yet but it will most likely take place at Tempe Marketplace 16 because it has a 35mm projector that has been used to show new movies in 35mm. Since there are now two places showing classic movies in 35mm (Majestic Tempe 7 and Harkins Tempe Marketplace 16), there is now a 35mm section.
